ST ROBERTS PRIMARY SCHOOL : NEWTOWN, GEELONG.
About Us > Our History
Our school is in the Parish of St. Mary’s of the Angels with our Parish Priest – Fr. Jim Clarke. We currently have a school population of approximately 279. We currently have 13 classrooms with a staff of 39 including registered class teachers, teachers’ aides and other support staff.
St Robert’s Primary School opened its gates in 1942, and we are proud to continue a strong tradition of Catholic education in our community.
Today, we are an inclusive and welcoming school where every child is known, valued and supported to grow. Our classrooms foster deep learning and nurture the whole child, academically, socially and spiritually. Students are guided in their faith through prayer, liturgy and celebration.
We value strong partnerships with families and believe connection is key to success. Our staff are committed to ongoing learning, using evidence-informed practices to support a diverse range of learners.
Beyond the classroom, students enjoy rich extracurricular opportunities and engaging outdoor spaces that promote purposeful play and connection.
At St Robert’s, we are proud to be a community where every child belongs and every family is welcomed.
